Watch: Wrong-way M1 crash driver arrest

A driver who left a motorcyclist with a broken neck after crashing into them while driving the wrong way down the M1 has been jailed for three years.

Keith Muromba, 32, from Milliners Court, Luton, admitted causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drugs, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and having no insurance at St Albans Crown Court.

He collided head-on with a BMW and motorcycle near Watford on 25 January, causing life-changing injuries, including a dissected artery, to the rider, while the BMW driver sustained minor injuries, Hertfordshire Police said.

When he was sentenced last month, Muromba was also banned from driving for more than five years.
