Paddling pool to reopen after repair work
North Yorkshire CouncilA public paddling pool in Harrogate will reopen this weekend after surveys previously discovered maintenance issues.
The pool in Valley Gardens did not open as early as expected this year while work including repainting was carried out., according to the North Yorkshire Council.
Additional repairs are needed for the padding pools at Bebra Gardens in Knaresborough and Borrage Green in Ripon before they can open.
Councillor Malcolm Taylor said: "For the safety of the public the pools haven't opened yet while we carry out investigations."
"The two other pools will open once repairs are carried out," he added.
"We are working to resolve the situation as quickly and safely as possible, and we will keep the public updated."
Both pools require the painting to be stripped, and the surface treated, before new coating can be applied.
There are no issues with the draining systems, according the council.
It is hoped any issues will be resolved by the start of the school summer holidays, the authority added.
