Man arrested after cyclist seriously hurt in crash

A 58-year-old man has been arrested after a crash involving a van and a cyclist.

Cambridgeshire Police was called to Brampton Road near Huntingdon railway station at about 08:15 BST on Friday.

The 50-year-old cyclist suffered serious injuries and she was taken to hospital.

The man, from Cambridge, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving. Police have asked anyone with information about the incident to get in touch.
