People warned frozen food products may be unsafe
Food Standards AgencyPeople have been told not to eat a range of frozen food products amid fears they may be unsafe to consume.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued the alert over items made by Inarah's Frozen Food Ltd, Walsall, West Midlands, and labelled Inarah's Frozen Foods, Inarah's Fine Foods or New York Crispy.
It said the firm had not shown the brands, which included chicken, beef, fish and vegetarian items, had been produced and handled safely.
The products were supplied to businesses across the UK who were advised to "immediately stop sales" and undertake product withdrawals and recalls. Inarah's Frozen Food Ltd has been contacted for comment.
The FSA told consumers the products should not be eaten, and instead disposed of safely at home.
The advice relates to all packet sizes of all dates, which would be labelled either Inarah Frozen Foods Ltd, Regal Drive, Walsall; Four Seasons Food Group, Fenton Industrial Estate, Stoke-on-Trent; or KBH Foods, BD9 4TS.
"Inarah's Frozen Foods Ltd has been unable to demonstrate that the products in this alert have been produced and handled safely," the FSA said.
"Products that have not met food hygiene and safety requirements pose a risk to consumers and may be unsafe to eat."
