A driver who died when his van was in a collision with two HGVs "was always willing to help others," his family said.

Police were called to reports of a crash on the southbound carriageway of the M11 between junctions 10 and 9a, at about 12:15 BST on Friday.

Gary Porritt, 43, from Stockton-on-Tees, died at the scene.

Miroslaw Muszynski, 69, of Priory Road, Dartford, Kent, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving. He is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on 13 July.

In a tribute, his family said: "Gary was a loving family man, a devoted partner to Claire and a great friend to many.

"He was always willing to help others, loved fishing, and will be remembered for his kindness, generosity and love. He has left a void in our family that will never be filled."
