Social media settlement 'huge relief for Meta', expert says
Meta has reached a settlement to resolve claims brought by a number of US states that its platforms, which includes Instagram and Facebook, were leading to social media addiction. Court papers show the deal includes taking responsibility for misleading customers over their online safety and how personal data for children was collected. Glen Smith, Chief Investment Officer at GDS Wealth Management, thinks Meta will be pleased with the outcome.
