Pieve Santo Stefano: Inside Italy's 'Town of Diaries'
Tucked away in the hills of Tuscany lies the 'Town of Diaries', home to Italy's National Archive of Diaries. The collection preserves unpublished memoirs, letters, and diaries written by ordinary people, offering a rare glimpse into their lives. Spanning more than 300 years of European and world history, the archive helps researchers uncover personal experiences that might otherwise be lost. Some contributors have even requested that their diaries remain unread until 2122.
