Watch: Couple get engaged in a shark tank
James Walsh proposed to girlfriend Paige Cook while the couple were taking part in a swimming-with-sharks experience.
After booking the experience at Skegness Aquarium as a Christmas gift, Walsh said: "Sharks are her favourite animal... I pretty much knew then that's where I wanted to do it. I thought, surrounded by her favourite animal, it would be a unique experience."
The couple from Wendover, Buckinghamshire, were separated from the rest of the group before Walsh revealed a sign and popped the question in the aquarium's main viewing area.
Speaking to BBC Three Counties Radio, he said: "I turned around the sign and she was shocked... I thought she was going to run out of air." Cook said she was "completely clueless", while her partner revealed the engagement ring had been hidden on a necklace wrapped around his wrist underneath his wetsuit.
