More A63 overnight closures planned
BBCThere will be more overnight closures on the A63 in Hull, National Highways has announced.
The £355m Castle Street project included building a new split-level junction at Mytongate, which involves lowering part of the busy road through an underpass.
The agency said there would be a week of overnight east and westbound closures to allow workers to carry out "essential" technology and lighting work.
The work will take place from 11 May until 15 May from 20:00 until 06:00 BST.
A National Highways spokesperson said some disturbance would be "unavoidable", but said they would make "every effort to minimise noise".
"We apologise for any disruption during the final phases of the scheme," they added.
The project was originally due to be finished by April 2025, but was delayed by a year due to "extremely challenging ground conditions".
The new underpass opened to traffic in March, six years after work began.
The spokesperson said: "Main works are now coming to an end, but we will continue to update on any temporary overnight closures, if required, into the final stages of the scheme."
