Serving police officer charged with assault

PC James Nellis, of Thames Valley Police, was on duty at the time of the alleged assault on Lowndes Way, Winslow, Buckinghamshire, at about 00:30 GMT on 20 October.
The 31-year-old, based at Aylesbury police station, was put on restricted police duties three days later.
The force said he was charged by postal requisition on 16 April and is due to appear at Luton Magistrates' Court on 11 December. He has been given unconditional court bail.
