Two people in hospital after serious crash in Shetland

Two people are in hospital after a serious crash in Shetland involving two cars.

Police closed the A970 between Brae and Voe after being called to the incident at Mulla at about 07:55.

The Scottish Ambulance Service said it sent two ambulances to the scene and transferred two patients to Gilbert Bain Hospital in Lerwick.

Officers have asked people to avoid the area, with traffic diverted through the Dales Lees road and Scatsta.
