Second person dies after two-car crash near airport
GoogleA second person has died after a two-vehicle crash near an airport earlier this month.
Police said the collision happened at Carnanton, near Cornwall Airport Newquay, at about 13:45 BST on 13 July.
The driver of a Kia Picanto, a man in his 70s from Wadebridge, was pronounced dead at the scene while a female passenger in the Kia and the female driver of a Peugeot 208, were taken to hospital.
In an update on Monday, Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed the Kia passenger, a 75-year-old woman, died in hospital on Thursday 16 July.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Officers have been notified by the coroner's office that the passenger in the Kia Picanto, a 75-year-old woman, died in hospital on Thursday 16 July."
Police previously appealed for any witnesses who were in the area at the time or anybody with relevant dash-cam footage to come forward.
