Inquest opens into death of teen in e-scooter crash

An inquest has opened into the death of a 14-year-old boy who died in a crash involving an e-scooter and a van.

The hearing into the death of Aaron Rowe, from Lincoln, who was riding the scooter, was opened and adjourned in Boston on Tuesday.

Lincolnshire Police was called to Moor Lane in North Hykeham at about 17:40 BST on 6 September. The collision was between the e-scooter and a red Ford Transit.

Coroner Marianne Johnson said the precise cause of death was yet to be determined. She set a provisional date for the next hearing of 8 March next year.
