Man dies after crash in County Donegal

A man in his 20s has died after a crash in County Donegal.

The collision, involving a car and a 4x4 vehicle, happened in Fincashel, in Pettigo, at about 14:45 BST.

A woman in her 20s who was a passenger in the car was brought to hospital with serious injuries.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to University Hospital Letterkenny.

A man in his 60s who was driving the second vehicle was brought to hospital for assessment.

The road is closed and traffic diversions are in place.

Gardaí (Irish police) are appealing for anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage to contact them.
