Teenager charged after motorbike interrupts football match

A teenager has been charged after a motorbike was driven across a football pitch while a youth game was taking place.

The incident happened on playing fields in Kincorth, Aberdeen, on Tuesday evening and was reported to police the following morning.

Police Scotland said an 18-year-old would be reported to the procurator fiscal.

The force added there were "positive lines of inquiry" in relation to another male involved in the incident.

Constable Jordan Titmuss said: "We understand the fear and alarm this incident has caused for the youths and parents involved.

"We are reliant on the community to help us identify persons using these vehicles, where they store them and when they are most likely being used."
