A man has been charged with murder following the death of a man at a home in Greater Manchester.

The victim, a man aged in his 90s, was discovered after police were called to a property in Bryngs Drive, Bolton, at 11:35 BST on Wednesday over welfare concerns.

Mark Lord, 63, of Bryngs Drive, has been charged, remanded in custody, and was due to appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court later on Friday.

In an earlier statement, police said formal identification of the man who died had yet to take place but officers were in contact with a potential next-of-kin.

Det Ch Insp Zed Ali said officers were still working to establish the "full facts" and appealed again for anyone with information to contact police.
