There will be a police presence in Bangor, County Down, on Sunday after multiple reports of antisocial behaviour involving a large number of young people.

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) said four young people were injured and went to hospital during Saturday evening.

Ch Insp Hutchinson said PSNI officers will be patrolling the town to reassure members of the public.

There were reports of a large number of young people causing a disturbance on Saturday evening, Hutchinson said.

Police received a report at about 19:05 BST of a crowd of youths fighting in Quay Street, before running in the direction of High Street.

There were also reports of large groups of youths congregating at the train station.

"We would like to reassure the local community that we take all reports of antisocial seriously and that we recognise the wider impact this kind of behaviour can have," Hutchinson added.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested in Abbey Street at about 20:15 BST for breach of bail conditions. He remains in police custody.
