High Street to close for five months for roadworks
GoogleHorley High Street is set to be closed to through traffic for about five months for roadworks, Surrey Highways says.
The works from 8 June will involve the repaving of the High Street and the resurfacing of Albert Road as part of a £3m project.
The resurfacing on Albert Road is expected to take approximately three weeks, and it will then reopen to delivery vehicles only, a Surrey County Council (SCC) spokesperson said.
The work is being carried out by a partnership between SCC and Reigate & Banstead Borough Council, with backing from groups including Horley Town Council and National Rail.
Delivering Change in Horley Town Centre programme is a series of projects which is aimed to improve the town centre to meet the needs of the local communities, the county council said.
