Swimmers were advised against using two bathing spots on Plymouth Hoe

Advice against people swimming at Plymouth How due to sewage discharge from a storm overflow has been removed.

The warning, put in place by the Environment Agency on Friday, was for the water at Plymouth Hoe West and Plymouth Hoe East after unpermitted sewage was discharged.

At the time, the agency said it had identified "operational issues" at a plant on the River Plym.

The advice was issued on Friday and was removed the next day after two full tidal cycles passed with no further reports of pollution.
