Car and police van in flames after fight on Glasgow street
GoogleA car and police van were left in flames on a Glasgow street after a fight involving several men carrying weapons.
A 19-year-old man was taken to hospital after the incident on Muirshiel Crescent, Priesthill, at about 19:15 on Sunday.
Footage from the scene shared on social media showed about eight men running around three cars. One was crashed on the pavement and caught fire.
Police Scotland sent specialist firearms officers to the scene. The force said one of its vans also "inadvertently caught alight" after flames spread from the car.
A 27-year-old man was arrested and released without charge.
Det Insp Gordon Walker said: "This disturbance took place within a busy residential area, and we are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
"We'd particularly like to hear from anyone with private CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam footage which could be of significance to the investigation."
The force said additional officers would be in place in the area to "provide reassurance" and inquiries into the incident were ongoing.
