Ryan Reynolds invites fan for photo on Isle Man
Vinus ArevaloA fan of Hollywood A-lister Ryan Reynolds said she was "starstruck" when the actor invited her to take a photo with him on Douglas promenade on Thursday.
Reynolds is known for the Deadpool franchise and the Welcome to Wrexham documentary series.
Vinus Arevalo has lived on the island for more than four years and said it was unexpected to see her "idol" outside her workplace on a normal Thursday morning.
The 33-year-old said she was looking out the window to see "more clearly" if it was really him, when he called over and invited her for a photo. She described it as "an amazing experience".
It is not clear why the actor is on the island, but his visit follows a series of big names in Hollywood who have come over in 2026.
Brad Pitt and Channing Tatum were both spotted earlier this year during production for an Amazon Prime film due to be released next year.
Vinus ArevaloVinus said while she was talking to a guest, she noticed someone whose "face is familiar".
Initially she attempted to hide, not wanting to "disturb his morning walk" but it was Reynolds who stopped and "asked [her] if I want to take a picture".
"I just ran out", she recalled, adding that it was "a lovely experience".
Vinus Arevalo"I really love Deadpool" she explained and said she also loved "Ryan's personality. For me, he's got the sexiest sense of humour", she laughed, adding: "I think he's really funny."
She said he asked her how she was, but she was too "starstruck" to say much to him. "I got so shocked" she added.
She also said that because it is rare to see Hollywood royalty on the Isle of Man, it gave celebrities a better experience of visiting the place.
"Stars from any other countries are able to get to know the island" she explained.
