Fans spot Channing Tatum filming new TT feature
Frank SchuengelHollywood a-lister Channing Tatum has been pictured by starstruck TT fans filming at the paddock for new movie about the motor racing festival.
The Amazon MGM Studio feature, produced by Brad Pitt, is also set to star Eve Hewson, known for Bad Sisters, and Belfast's Ciaran Hinds.
The project, capturing the thrills of the Isle of Man TT, would be accompanied by a documentary series called the Greatest Show on Earth, for which the filming was undertaken at the 2024 event.
Visiting fan Armina Magaway-Alih took to facebook after seeing the 21 Jump Street actor, and said: "Seeing my childhood crush Channing Tatum still feels surreal."
She described it as "a quiet rush of nostalgia" she "never quite outgrew", adding that her "fangirling heart is screaming".
Armina Magaway-AlihTatum was first spotted at the racing event in 2023 where rumours of a feature film first emerged.
Race organisers said filming during the 2026 festival was set to create an "authentic backdrop" for the film.
A competitor died on Tuesday in the Pre-TT Classic race in an event that has been described as the world's most dangerous road race.
Racing has also been red flagged twice already this week after a sidecar driver and her passenger crashed not far from the start-finish line and another driver collided with spectators in what one witness described as a "terrifying" incident.
Frank SchuengelTatum has been seen shooting scenes among the crowds in the Grandstand's paddock area, as well as shots of him on a bike queuing for the start line.
He has also been seen chatting to veteran TT racers John McGuinness and Michael Rutter.
Frank SchuengelOrganisers said filming during the event would be carefully managed to ensure race operations, safety and the experience of competitors, officials, residents and fans remain the priority throughout.
