Man, 19, dies after car crashes into tree

A 19-year-old man has died after a car crashed into a tree in Bolton, police have said.

The Toyota Yaris appeared to lose control on Radcliffe Road shortly before 23:00 BST on Friday, Greater Manchester Police said.

Four people were inside the vehicle, with the force initially describing some of their injuries as life-threatening.

The Serious Collision Investigation Unit has appealed for witnesses to the collision, as well as any CCTV, dashcam, doorbell or mobile phone footage recorded in the area.

GMP confirmed the man's death on Sunday, but have not released his identity or given any further details about the tragedy.

No updated information regarding the wellbeing of other occupants of the car has been released at this stage.
