A30 delays after serious multi-vehicle crash

The main road through Cornwall has been closed in both directions due to a serious accident.

National Highways said the A30 has been closed in both directions between Hayle and Camborne.

Devon and Cornwall Police said the accident involved multiple vehicles and serious injuries have been reported.

It said traffic is being delayed as a result and the road closure is likely to remain in place for some time - drivers are advised to avoid the area.

Fire and ambulance crews are also at the site of the accident - the air ambulance has also been on the scene.
