Detectives would like to know where Kelsey Smith was in the days before her death

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the unexpected death of a woman.

Kelsey Smith, 36, was found unresponsive at a house in Ashby Road in Watford, on 28 September.

Detectives were called by the ambulance service at around 01:40 BST after concerns were raised for her welfare.

She was taken to hospital, where she died a short time later.

Hertfordshire Police said her death was not being treated as suspicious at this time.

However, officers are keen to understand the full circumstances around it, including any information about Smith in the days before it.

Det Insp Tom Hassell said: "We're asking anyone who saw or spoke to Kelsey in the days leading up to her death, from Friday 18 September onwards, to please get in touch.

"Or if you have any other information which you think may be of importance, please contact us."

He added the force's thoughts remained with Smith and those who knew her.
