Teenage motorcyclist injured in collision with car

A teenage motorcyclist has suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a car.

Emergency services were called to reports of a crash involving a Ford S-Max car and a Lexmoto Cypher electric motorcycle in Batley shortly after 18:00 BST on Monday.

West Yorkshire Police said both vehicles had been driving along Ealand Road before the crash happened at the junction with Ruby Street.

A force spokesperson said the motorcyclist was taken to hospital with a serious head injury.

Anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have relevant footage, is asked to contact police.
