Two charged after man stabbed in head and hands

Two men have been charged after a man was injured after being stabbed in the head and hands in north Belfast.

It happened at Fortwilliam Park at about 20:40 BST on Thursday.

A 31-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were charged with offences including wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, assault on police, and common assault.

They are both expected to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Saturday.

A 27-year-old man who was arrested has been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.
