Woman, 76, seriously hurt after being hit by car

A 76-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries when she was hit by a car in East Yorkshire.

The incident, involving the pedestrian and a blue Ford Fiesta, happened on Hedon Road in Paull, East Yorkshire, at about 15:30 BST on Sunday, Humberside Police said.

The woman was taken to hospital for treatment to her injuries and inquiries were ongoing to establish the circumstances, a force spokesperson added.

Anyone who witnessed the incident, has dashcam footage or was in the area at the time is urged to contact police on the non-emergency 101 number.
