Tributes paid to couple killed in A358 crash
Supplied by familyTributes have been paid by the family of a couple who died in a road collision.
Karen Cozens, 60, and David Cozens, 52, from Minehead, died when their Mazda van was involved in a collision with a lorry on the A358 in Combe Florey, near Taunton, Somerset, at 06:40 BST on 30 September.
In a statement, Karen's family described the couple as "loved by their family and by everyone around them".
David's son Matthew said his father always "put everyone first" and was always there when needed. "He was the patriarch of our family and always so proud of his children and grandchildren," he said.
He said he was "the jolliest of blokes and always loved to have a laugh" with those around him.
"He was the man who always had a smile to brighten everyone's day and the memories I shared with him will live on in my heart always," he said.
Karen's family said the couple "loved going on camping trips, watching banger racing and walking their dogs".
Their statement said: "We will miss them so much and we only wish they had more time to watch their grandchildren grown up.
"Mum was an incredible woman who had a heart of gold and was a friend to many.
"She was the light in our family and the pain of losing her cannot be described."
Both families continue to be supported by the police.
