Sunshine and storms bring stunning skies

It has been an absolute scorcher in north-east England and Cumbria.

But the bright, clear skies gave way to thunder and lightning across much of the region on Friday.

And, as always, our Weather Watchers have been out in force capturing the beautiful and dramatic weather.
