Woman's death treated as suspicious by police

The death of a 51-year-old woman is being treated as suspicious by police.

Dorset Police received a report at 02:25 BST on Wednesday that the body of a woman had been found at an address in Paddington Grove, Bournemouth.

Officers attended alongside the ambulance service and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact them and confirmed that a cordon remains in place at the scene while inquiries are carried out.

The force said the woman's family has been informed and are being kept updated with the progress of the investigation.

Ch Insp Nicola Jenkins, of the major crime team said: "As our investigation continues, we would urge people to respect the privacy of those involved and to not speculate on social media without verified facts."
