Man charged with murder after woman found dead

A man has been charged with murder following the death of a woman in July.

Richard Sean Ball, 56, from Bournemouth, was charged with preventing the lawful and decent burial of a dead body after 51-year-old Mackala Higgins was found at an address in Paddington Grove on 1 July.

Dorset Police said Ball had also been charged with murder and remanded in custody. He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

A woman, aged in her 30s and from Bournemouth, has also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender and remains released under investigation, the force said.

The force is urging anyone with information that might assist the investigation to get in touch.
