Two men charged with murder after death of man

Two men have been charged with the murder of a man in east Belfast.

Nicholas Gordon, 51, known as Nicky, was attacked when a number of intruders entered an apartment building on the Holywood Road on 12 May.

He was taken to hospital, but died from his injuries on Saturday.

Two men, aged 25 and 31, have been charged with a number of offences including murder, possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence and threats to kill.

The men are due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Friday.

Two other people arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary with intent to commit grievous bodily harm were released unconditionally on Tuesday.
