Watch: Crowds gather for 2026 May Morning celebrations

More than 18,000 people have gathered for May Morning celebrations in the centre of Oxford.

The festivities started in their traditional way with the choir of Magdalen College singing from the top of the Great Tower.

There were performances and street artists to entertain the crowds.

It is a tradition that has been observed annually for more than 500 years, to welcome in the spring.
