RNLI hosts first all-female training camp
The RNLI has hosted its first all-female lifeguard training event as the service winds down for the season.
A total of 31% of those patrolling beaches across the UK are women, a number the charity said it was keen to raise.
Leigh Anderson-Sheard, believed to be the charity's longest serving female lifeguard, said there were "only a handful of girls lifeguarding full stop" when she started her career in 2004.
