Murderer tells police victim has been dead 12 days
Bodycam footage captured the moment a man told police and paramedics he had hidden the death of a vulnerable 64-year-old for 12 days because he had nowhere else to go.
Jason Trundle was jailed for 19 years on Friday after being found guilty of murdering Leon Pratt in Telford.
Worcester Crown Court heard Pratt's decomposing body had been found "infested with maggots and flies" when the ambulance service was called on 26 October 2024 by worried neighbours.
Following the sentence West Mercia Police said despite Trundle's assertion at the time, Pratt had been likely dead for up to a month before he was discovered.
