Dinner lady thanked for helping vlogger grieve as child
A popular social media influencer has had an emotional reunion with her former school dinner lady, who helped her grieve as a child following her mother's death.
Louise Pentland asked for help to find "Mrs Carr" on BBC Radio Northampton, who had held her hand and supported her in the weeks and months after she lost her mum to cancer in 1992.
Following an appeal, Theresa Carr, who worked at Camp Hill Lower School in Northampton, was found, and Pentland was able to thank her in person for her kindness.
"That wasn't in your job spec to look after a little girl who was grieving, but you did, and you never asked for a thanks," Pentland told her on Bernie Keith's show.
If you, or someone you know, has been affected by bereavement, BBC Action Line has a list of organisations that may be able to help.
