Balmoral: Tears, flowers and a royal sketch for the Queen

As word has spread of the death of Queen Elizabeth II, people have travelled to the gates of the Balmoral Estate in Aberdeenshire to pay respects to the country's longest-serving monarch.

Despite the rain, people of all ages came to leave floral tributes at the castle, where the Queen died peacefully on Thursday afternoon.
