Man denies burglary at snooker star's home

A judge has set a trial date after a man was accused of burgling the home of former world snooker champion Kyren Wilson.

Kane Lee, 27, of Albert Road, Luton, denied burglary during a hearing at Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday.

He has been accused of stealing cash, jewellery, watches and handbags from a property in Kettering, Northamptonshire, in June.

Judge Adrienne Lucking said a trial would be listed to start on 4 January 2027.

Wilson, 34, who won the 2024 World Snooker Championship, was not at the hearing.

Lee spoke only to confirm his name and enter a not guilty plea.

The judge said a further pre-trial hearing would be staged in December.

She remanded Lee in custody.
