Teenager critically injured in town stabbing

A teenager suffered life-threatening injuries when he was stabbed in the street.

The 19-year-old victim is being treated in hospital after police were called to Market Street in Oldbury at about 12:15 BST following reports of a fight involving a group of teenagers.

West Midlands Police said it was believed he was in a life-threatening condition.

An investigation is under way and officers remain on the scene, patrolling the area, the force said.

They appealed for anyone with information to contact them on 101 quoting incident number 2404 of 2 July.
