An A-road has been closed after multiple vehicles were involved in a crash, police say.

The A358 has been closed between Southfields Roundabout and Rapps, near Ilminster, Somerset, after an incident shortly after 10:00 BST.

Heavy traffic has built up in the area, with the junction with Broadway Street and the Ilton turn-off (Cad Road) also closed.

Avon and Somerset Police asked motorists to avoid the area wherever possible, with closures expected to be in place for several hours.
