A block of flats has been evacuated during a fire at a garage.

Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze at Cramer Motor Engineers on Bushey Hall Road in Bushey at about 11:45 BST after receiving reports of a vehicle fire.

Eight fire engines and two support units were sent to the scene, and about 15 people evacuated nearby homes.

Darren Cook, assistant chief fire officer, said: "This has been a significant fire, made more complicated by the proximity of nearby high-voltage power lines and the railway."

The fire service said the cause of the blaze was not yet known.
