One person has been taken to hospital after a tree fell at a bowling green in Warwickshire.

Two others were treated for injuries at the scene in Victoria Park, Leamington Spa, on Sunday, West Midland Ambulance Service said.

According to the Bowls England website, the venue was hosting a para pairs competition qualifier for the National Bowls Finals in August. It is not known whether the tournament had to be abandoned.

Victoria Park is set to host the 2027 World Bowls Championship.
