Rail passengers delayed because of signal faults
West Midlands RailwayPassengers have been warned of delays and cancellations to rail services in Worcestershire after signalling failures caused disruption.
National Rail said there was a fault with the signalling system between Worcester Shrub Hill and Worcester Foregate Street and also between Great Malvern and Hereford, at about 14:00 BST.
Trains running between the stations may be cancelled or revised, with disruption expected until the end of the day, it said.
Tickets could be used at no extra cost on rail replacement transport between Worcester, Great Malvern and Hereford, with buses in place until 18:00 BST, a spokesperson added.
The signal fault is affecting Great Western Railway services between Worcester and London Paddington and Bristol Temple Meads and West Midlands Railway services running to and from Birmingham New Street, Dorridge and Stratford-upon-Avon.
