A driver in his 30s has died after a car crashed into a tree, police say.

Emergency services were called to a crash on Bakers Hill, between Mickleton and Hidcote in Gloucestershire, at around 07:30 BST.

Gloucestershire Constabulary said a Ford C-Max had left the road and collided with a tree. A 36-year-old man from the Stratford-upon-Avon area was declared dead at the scene and his next of kin have been informed, police said.

The force added road closures remained in place on Bakers Hill while crash investigators examined the scene. Officers urged anyone who might have witnessed the crash to contact police.
