Outdoor pool reopens after £135,000 refurbishment
BBCA heated outdoor swimming pool has reopened after a £135,000 refurbishment project to improve its accessibility.
On Saturday swimmers returned to the charity-run Bovey Tracey Swimming Pool, which operates annually from April to September.
The improvements include a new pool liner and walk-in steps to the pool to allow easier access.
The charity's chairman Martin Brealey said at the first session they had a swimmer say "I probably didn't come before because I wasn't happy getting in and out of the pool, but now I can use the walk-in steps".

The refurbishment also involved updating the toddler pool - including adding a fountain - and underwater lighting in the main pool.
The project was funded by Teignbridge Council, Bovey Tracey Town Council, the Tracey Almshouse Trust and the pool's charity.
