Man stabbed in shopping centre fight

A man has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in the leg during a fight at a shopping centre in Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police said it was called out at 15:30 BST on Wednesday to reports of a fight at the Bridgeway shopping centre, off Sheriffs Way in The Meadows.

The force said an 18-year-old was taken to hospital with a leg injury that was not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers appealed for anyone who witnessed the fight, or who has any video footage of the incident, to come forward.

Det Insp Paul Shortt said: "We understand that this will be concerning for residents, but officers are working hard to find those responsible.

"We also want to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything which could assist our inquiries.

"Officers will remain in the area to provide reassurance, and if you have any concerns, please speak with them."
