A woman who was struck and killed on the A1 in Lincolnshire earlier this month has been named by police.

Mel Genrich, 52, from, Edinburgh, died after being hit by a car at South Witham on 9 May at about 21:30 BST.

Lincolnshire Police previously said a woman and a man had parked in a layby on the southbound lane near The Fox pub and had crossed the road with their dog, which was also killed when they were struck on the northbound side.

A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving before being released under investigation.

A second man arrested on suspicion of murder was released without charge.

Police have renewed their appeal for people who recall seeing the woman, the man and the dog around that time to get in touch.
