Passengers are being asked where new bus stops should be located in Hull.

The city council is using an online map to let the public mark where they think up to 60 new bus shelters should be built.

The new stops would have environmentally friendly green roofs with plants on top.

Up to 200 digital bus information display screens, showing bus times, would also be installed using money from the Hull and East Yorkshire Combined Authority bus grant fund.

Councillor Mark Ieronimo, cabinet portfolio holder for transport and infrastructure, said he was "encouraging as many people as possible across our city to take part in this public engagement exercise".

"The feedback we receive will help us develop a programme of works that meets the needs of those who use our buses the most as well as helping to promote bus travel to others as a convenient and more sustainable transport option," he said.

"You can make as many suggestions as you like. However, in addition to highlighting any locations where you'd like to see improvements, we ask that you also add a comment with each pin to explain why you think that location would benefit from a display screen or shelter."

The council said the online consultation lasts until 12 August, with installation expected to be carried out in spring 2027.
