Record year for Robin Hood half marathon
BBCAround 15,000 runners have taken part in this year's Robin Hood Half Marathon, in the event's largest turnout yet.
The 13.1mile (21km) race took place on Sunday in Nottingham city centre.
The runners included Darren Coates, 45, who completed the race in memory of his father, Ian, the school caretaker killed during the Nottingham attacks.
Brain tumour survivor, Anthony Bryan, who holds the world record for the fastest marathon and half marathon for someone with paralysis of one side also took part, although it was his first race in Nottingham.
Coates said: "I'm proud of myself and I know my old man up there will be looking down and he'll be proud."
Race director, Judith Manson, said 15,000 runners made it a record for the event.
